As a Java Developer you will be responsible for these primary deliverables:
- Migrate system from WAS 6.1/ Java 1.4 to Tomcat 6.0 / Java 5
- Performance profiling
- Single sign-on to seamlessly access apps across application server platforms
Qualified Candidate will have the following experience:
- Strong : Java 5; WAS 6.1 (EJB's); Tomcat 6.0; Spring; Hibernate
- Nice to have: Oracle 10G
- Experince on Google Web Development Kit (not much, but some projects started using)
- Experince working on Agile Software Development methodologies
- Ability to work from broadly defined requirements Contractor Qualifications:
- Work with a team of 15 developers on a mature, custom built editorial system.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills. Expectation is that the contractor will have educational session(s) for the team along with designing & implementing solutions
This will be a 6 month contract with extension likely.
